Dear Parents and Guardians,
Due to the threat of blizzard like conditions forecasted for Tuesday, Jan. 24, we will be going to virtual learning. All activities will be canceled as well.
We will continue to monitor road conditions for Wednesday and will make all efforts to make a decision by 6:30 Tuesday in regards to school on Wednesday.
We want all of our students, staff and our community to stay as safe as possible as the weather approaches. All essential and non-essential staff will not report for work as well.
Elementary teachers will send learning packets home with their students today. Middle school and High school teachers have been instructed to give paper assignments to any students who state they do not have internet access at home. All other students will be able to complete assignments via google classroom. If your student needs any help completing an assignment, please reach out to your child's teacher via google classroom email address.

We’re currently looking for engaging, reliable substitute teachers for classes at all levels, from pre-kindergarten to high school. In this role, the substitute will cover for an absent full-time teacher, adhering to the day’s lesson plan and ensuring that students have a fulfilling learning experience. See attached flyers about P-EBT. Your child could be approved for this program by receiving Free/Reduce meals. If you have not filled out a Free/Reuced meal application or income status has changed please contact the school to get an application. It is open to everyone.
Meal Account bills went to the post office today! Thank you to those of you who paid on accounts since return after break, there are however some that are seriously delinquent and those students will be placed on the "No Charge Policy" list as of Tuesday and will unfortunately be served an alternative sack lunch and not the hot meal if bills are not paid. This is not something we want to do as we know it is not the fault of the student but it is mandated by USDA for schools. Remember you can look on your parent or student login for a balance, call the school to ask balance due or just pay on bill 1 time a month. Bills are mailed out monthly and can be paid in the office by check or cash only. When you get the bill in the mail and the amount due is highlighted that means your child(ren) meal account is overdue and you need to send money ASAP. Please make sure to take care od the "Bill" by Tuesday this will be the last alert before action is put in place.
Asher Public Schools has two Paraprofessional positions open. Requirements for this position include High School diploma, Paraprofessional certification or willing to become certified, CPR Certification (optional), must be willing to work with special needs students.
