We hope that everyone had a blessed and happy Easter. Please remember we were on a virtual day on Friday so be sure your child(ren) return any work that was sent home with them tomorrow, Monday, April 10th. Also, remember we are on 5 days through the rest of April and State mandated testing also begins. It is important that your child(ren) get plenty of rest and are not absent in the next coming weeks.
Parents we will have the Elementary fundraiser Bundlet cakes ready for pick up this after noon after 2:00 in the cafeteria. If you are attending Easter parties please make sure to pick up your childs cakes with Mrs. Magby or Ms. Yott. ALL orders must be picked up today by 4:00 we have no place to store them.

HS softball game times have been changed to 6:00 & 7:15 this evening at Vanoss
3 year old and Pre-K applications are now open for the 2024 school year. The applications are available in the office and are a "pre-enrollment application only" to hold a spot and give us an estimate of how many to expect. In district students will be given priority to the limited number of spots. An application is only complete and numbered when returned with shot record and birth certificate. Once we open enrollment for all students for the 2024 school year you will then fill out the enrollment packet.
Due to change in schedule for the week menu changes have been made. Tuesday, April 4th will be corndogs and tator tots. April 6th will be beef n cheese nachos. As the month goes on it is possible to make a few more menu changes, we will try to update this as soon as we have information to do so. Asher school in observance of Good Friday will be transitioning to a Remote Learning day on Friday, April 7th. Students will be required to log on using Google Classroom and any other form of teaching instructed by their classroom teacher(s).

The school has no control over the P-EBT Mar 27 We are aware that parents that did not qualify for P-EBT may have received a card over the weekend or even today. The majority of those cards have no funds loaded onto them. Some could have a small amount loaded on them. When we discovered that this happened late Friday, we had DHS stop all payments. We are in the process of working through the issue to restart payments for those that are eligible for benefits. This is not a case of fraud. Any parent that received a card and their child has a paid lunch status should destroy the card Thank you for your attention to this matter

We are well into our first week back from Spring Break and it is time to send out a friendly reminder that we still have some significant balances due on meal accounts and we need those to be taken care of soon. Bills will be going out the first week of April again. If you are unsure of a balance please email rebeccay@asher.k12.ok.us and remember you can check balances on the parent portal (for grades 1st - 12 only) if you do not have access please contact Shawna Magby at smagby@asher.k12.ok.us for instructions. Attention Asher citizens, due to incoming weather today the school shelter will only be open to the school body during school hours. If there is a need for any citizens to seek shelter before school is dismissed the First Baptist Church will have the shelter there open for anyone to go to. We hope there is no need for anyone to seek shelter today but in the event the school will stay informed and take proper precaution as needed.
